Education Minister's Resignation Approved|行政院證實 教育部長吳茂昆請辭獲准

The Executive Yuan approved the resignation of Education Minister Wu Maw-kuen on May 29. Cabinet spokesperson Hsu Kuo-yung has confirmed the news.


Only 41 days have passed since Wu Maw-kuen became education minister on Apr. 19. He recently tendered his resignation because he feels he has become a target of the pan-blue camp, making him a problem for the Cabinet. Moreover, he has failed to properly do his job, leading him to tender his resignation. Wu thus has become the shortest-serving education minister since 2000.
