60 PERCENT DISATISFACTION AT DPP GOVERNMENT|民進黨完全執政最新民調 近6成不滿意

The Democratic Progressive Party has been in power for almost a year, but are the people happy with their performance? A recent satisfaction survey on the party revealed that almost 60 percent of the public surveyed are unhappy, while 56 percent think that the government's handling of the Lee Ming-che case is far too weak. The Taiwanese Public Opinion Foundation held a conference on the results of their national survey on public attitudes to government officials. The survey showed that the level of dissatisfaction at President Tsai Ing-wen and Premier Lin Chuan's cabinet is higher than the satisfaction level. The survey also asked about government handling of the Lee Ming-che case. Fifty-six percent thought that the government handled the case weakly and if the case continued, 52 percent of people felt that it would severely damage cross strait relations. ==FAN YUN Prof. NTU Sociology Dept.== I can only see that society isn't divided into blue and green on this issue and wants the government to be tougher in its demands on China. This survey also asked about people's attitudes to civil servants and found that among seven types of civil servants, people most like police officers at 74 percent and judges came last, with 24 percent.
