NPM's 'Dragon Bowl' Had Been Dropped and Broken
National treasure "dragon bowl" has been dropped and broken, according to a tip received by legislator Charles Chen, who also accused the National Palace Museum of trying to bury the news. If proven true, this would be the first time in the museum's history that an item in its collection had been destroyed.
NPM Director Wu Mi-cha admitted three museum items have met their demise, but said he or the museum had no intentions of hiding the news. Wu said the investigations are ongoing. While responsibility could not be assigned in two of the three cases. the person responsible in the third case will be held accountable once identified.
