Han Keeps Low Profile in Kaohsiung Appearance 何時投入高雄輔選? 韓國瑜態度相當低調

On Oct. 4, Han Kuo-yu, who had served a short-lived role as Kaohsiung City Mayor, attended a banquet with party members, raising speculation that he is set to begin campaigning for KMT's candidates.

Former Kaohsiung City Mayor Han Kuo-yu was seen in Kaohsiung on Oct. 4, raising questions as to whether he will be campaigning for KMT Kaohsiung City mayoral candidate Ko Chih-en. Han kept a low profile, only responding "thank you" to reporters' questions.

Han Kuo-yu, Former Kaohsiung City Mayor: “( Reporter: “Just say a few words, can you just say something?”) Thank you. I'm here just for the dinner party. Thank you everyone.”

Han and Ko both attended the same dinner party, and Ko said that was the only purpose of Han's trip to Kaohsiung. She also said they didn't talk about campaign strategies. When asked when Han will start campaigning on her behalf, she said she respects his team and they will make their own announcement. She will continue doing her thing.

Ko Chih-en, KMT Kaohsiung City Mayoral Candidate: “Many people love him, while others don't like him. He completely respects the campaign strategies of different regions. If candidates need him with them, then he is happy to be there.”

Ko also confirmed that Han will be campaigning for city councilor candidates during this month. According to reports, Han's first event will be a rally for late Kaohsiung City Council Speaker Hsu Kun-yuan's daughter, Hsu Tsai-chen. Hsu said her campaign headquarters has invited many guests to help with her campaign, and "Uncle Han" is among them. She said his team will be the one announcing his schedule, and she hasn't received any notification yet.

韓國瑜說道：「好，謝謝大家，（記者問：「簡單講一下，可以講一下嗎?」），謝謝，今天同鄉會，謝謝大家。」

4日現身高雄的韓國瑜，晚間與柯志恩一起出席餐會，柯志恩上午受訪時說，韓國瑜這趟來，純粹是跟同鄉會朋友敘舊，會中沒有談到選戰策略，至於何時來輔選她，柯志恩說尊重韓國瑜的團隊，讓他們自行發布，自己還是則照既有選戰節奏走。

柯志恩表示：「因為其實很多人會喜歡他，但是也有很多人也會覺得沒有那麼喜歡他，所以他完全尊重很多不同地區輔選的一個策略，如果候選人需要他站台，他會非常的樂意。」

柯志恩也證實，韓國瑜10月會陸續幫一些議員站台輔選。外傳第一個輔選行程，是幫已故議長許崑源的女兒許采蓁站台，不過許采蓁說，競選總部成立邀請許多嘉賓，被他稱為叔叔的韓國瑜也在名單中，但他會不會出席尊重個人意願，也以對方團隊公布為主，目前她還沒被告知韓國瑜會到。
