Waves and Wind Intensify as Typhoon Approaches 颱風近台宜.花.東首當其衝 風雨漸增強

As typhoon Hinnamnor is approaching, wind and rain has been observed along the east coast, with no major damage or casaulties reported so far. Nine coastal cameras have also been set up to provide live feed coastal conditions.

As typhoon Hinnamnor approaches, wind and waves have significantly intensified. Coast Guard personnel also patrolled the shore to persuade the public not to approach. Some fishermen were worried about the safety of their fishing boats docked in Nanfangao Port.

Hualian Coast Guards set up a blockade in the Cisingtan Scenic Area to prevent the public from approaching after the CWB issued a sea warning. Typhoon has brought strong winds and waves to Taitung's Green Island and Orchid Island. Waves pummeled the promenade along the Fugang coast. For the first time, The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has integrated nine live-feed cameras in the East Coast area to provide the public with an understanding of wave conditions to stay away from dangerous waters.

Chiu Tzu-ya, Director, Recreation Section, East Coast National Scenic Area Administration: “We hope to provide visitors with information during a typhoon and that they will not go to the beach to watch the waves.”

The ECNSAA appeals to tourists that the coast has been designated as a warning area, and tourists should not visit the beach. The Taiping National Forest Recreation Area is closed due to the storm while The Taitung County Government also issued a mountain and ocean control order. Violators will be fined between NT$50,000 to NT$250,000.

宜蘭外海掀起一波波大浪，颱風愈來愈靠近，風浪明顯增強，海巡人員也來回在岸邊巡邏，勸導民眾不要靠近發生危險。部份南方澳漁港漁民，不放心停靠在港內漁船的安全，再到港邊把船綁牢。

記者問船都綁好了嗎? 漁民說：「都綁好了。」

花蓮縣風雨情況，目前在戶外可以感受到颱風帶來的風力，不過雨勢還不明顯，但下午過後風雨會再增強。由於海上警報已經發布，岸巡隊員在七星潭風景區拉起封鎖線，不讓民眾靠近。

台東縣的綠島和蘭嶼，目前陸續出現風雨的情況，海面風浪也不小，台東富岡沿岸，大浪不斷打上堤防。而東海岸國風景區管理處，這次颱風期間首度整合花東轄區9個即時影像鏡頭，成立觀浪平台，提供民眾瞭解東部海浪狀況，遠離危險海域。

東管處遊憩課長邱資雅表示：「其實在颱風期間的話，能夠提供遊客來做參考，也希望民眾不要到岸邊觀浪。」

東管處呼籲遊客目前海岸已列為警戒區，民眾和遊客不要再前往海邊活動。另外羅東林管處宣布，2日下午起太平山森林遊樂區預警性休園。台東縣政府也在上午十點發布山海管制令，違規進入山區和海域活動的民眾，被檢舉將處罰5萬元以上、25萬元以下罰款。
