Wen Tzu-yun Wins Bronze in Karate 與世界第一纏鬥到底 文姿云飲恨敗陣

Wen Tzu-yun now has a place in Taiwan's history books. Although she wasn't able to bring home the gold medal, her coach says this was her finest recent performance. Before Wen left for Tokyo, her sparring partner and boyfriend, Hsu Wei-chun, has proposed to her.
 

Chinese Taipei's Wen Tzu-yun fell to her top-ranked opponent in her semifinal match but will bring home a bronze medal. Despite failing to win gold, Wen now has a place in Taiwan's history books and says she will cherish what may be her one and only Olympic experience.

Wen Tzu-yun,Olympic Karateka："I am very grateful for everyone's support. It isn't an easy road to the Olympic podium. Right now, it feels like my entire journey is flashing before my eyes. Athletes have to be able to excel at what they're good at and what's within their power and accept the things that aren't. Sports can inspire people."

The icing on the cake for Wen is that her sparring partner and boyfriend, Hsu Wei-chun, proposed before she left for Tokyo.

Wen Tzu-yun, Olympic Karateka："Yes, (Hsu Wei-chun) proposed to me before I left, but we didn't make it public. I wanted to keep it under wraps until after [the Olympics]. Thank you."

In her semifinals match, Wen faced off against world No. 1 Anzhelika Terliuga of Ukraine. Wen's coach, Huang Hao-yun, says the match was Wen's best recent performance.

Wen Tzu-yun, Olympic Karateka："I was very excited because I haven't faced off against her for a very long time. I was able to take in and enjoy [the Olympic experience]. I think I performed well, with just a few minor mistakes. I couldn't pull it out in the end, but I was able to experience the journey, which is what I wanted to do."

Wen's Olympic medal is the culmination of years of dedication and work and is part of Chinese Taipei's highest Olympic medal haul ever.

中華會旗在日本武道館緩緩升起，這樣的畫面恐怕難再見到，我國文姿云在準決賽，一路和世界第一纏鬥到最後，才飲恨敗下陣來，儘管是銅牌， 但文姿云強心臟頂住這可能是絕無僅有的一次奧運機會，為我國名留青史，賽後如釋重負。

東奧空手道國手 文姿云表示：「其實很謝謝大家，一路以來的支持，然後，就是可以站上奧運的最高殿堂，是一件非常不簡單的事情。然後我現在就像人生跑馬燈一樣，就是從以前到現在，然後一切經歷過的，然後訓練的一些路程，我覺得就很像縮時版的人生。然後，其實起起落落，我們運動員其實就是要如何在這個最短的時間內，把你能做的，然後發揮到最好，然後不能做的如何去接受它。我覺得，這個是運動，帶來給大家的一個啟發。」

文姿云數度哽咽，可想而知她這些年來的壓力有多大，如今如願拿牌，心裡的一塊大石頭不但放下了，而且喜上加喜，因為跟陪練員男友徐瑋駿的好事，真的近了。

東奧空手道國手 文姿云表示：「對，其實在出發前，他(徐瑋駿)就是有跟我求婚了。然後，對，然後，但是我們都一直沒有講。因為我想說，先完成這場比賽再說，然後，對，謝謝大家。」

回顧文姿云本屆精彩賽事，儘管預賽首戰就踢到鐵板，不過接著漸入佳境挺進準決賽，遇上世界第一的烏克蘭對手，也是一路緊咬，包含最後精彩一擊，搭配黃昊昀教練判斷得宜 ，成就了一場漂亮戰役，也是文姿云近期發揮最好的一次。

東奧空手道國手 文姿云表示：「我是興奮的，因為我已經很久沒有對到她。所以我的感受是，終於要再次對決了，然後，我其實滿享受在比賽的一些，我想要控制一切，然後享受在比賽場上的感覺。那我覺得我今天做得不錯，只是有一點點小失誤。然後最後在追分的時候，沒有發揮得很好，所以，但是我覺得我很享受這個過程，這就是我想要的樣子。」

文姿云歷經長時間備戰，以及奧運門票失而復得的過程，總算如願登上五環賽場，並且拿下獎牌，為我國繼續堆高東京障礙。
