Rotten Taiwan Pineapples Sold in Singapore 輸星鳳梨品質遭疑 農委會:低溫貯存不當

Amid efforts to export Taiwan pineapples to other countries, a Taiwanese businessperson based in Singapore lodged a complaint, saying a portion of the Taiwan pineapples he received were of low quality and even rotten inside.
The footage shows a rotted pineapple, as well as pineapples of varying sizes. A Taiwanese businessperson based in Singapore recently spoke to an independent media outlet about pineapples imported from Taiwan to Singapore. The businessperson said the quality control needs to be improved. Meanwhile, Singaporean residents also discovered problems with Taiwan pineapples. One posted photos on Facebook showing a Taiwan pineapple with a black center with the caption saying "it's more exciting to buy pineapples from Taiwan in Singapore than to buy lottery tickets." The netizen was alluding to the fact that you don't know whether you've won or lost until after the fact. In response, the Council of Agriculture claimed these were isolated incidents and perhaps caused by inappropriate transport temperatures.

The most suitable temperature for the golden diamond pineapple cold chain system is probably around 13 degrees Celsius. If you use 7 to 8 degrees during transport of our golden diamond pineapples, it will result in saccharification and even turn the center black.
The COA said inappropriate transport temperatures result in plant disease, and can cause pineapples to turn black or rot. China recently announced a ban on imports of Taiwan pineapples, so the government has been scrambling to find other countries that will take them. It has budgeted NT$1 billion towards this end as well as subsidizing freight fees and handing out performance bonuses. The only ways not to qualify for a subsidy is to fail a quality test or a pesticide test. The COA said the solution to quality issues is having suppliers re-supply the pineapples.
When there is a problem, suppliers will 100 percent and unconditionally supply it again. Suppliers are willing to discuss this with us and their counterparts.
The COA said it will also withhold subsidies if an importer or supermarket rejects a pineapple shipment and will not allow the fruit to be sold. For fruit that has already been sold and received complaints, it will request companies to resupply the fruit.
鳳梨內部爛掉、果實大小不一，新加坡台商接受獨立媒體採訪指出，台灣銷往星國的鳳梨，品管務必要再加強，不只台商，也有新加坡民眾，在臉書貼出照片，買到的鳳梨心都黑掉，直說「在新加坡買台灣鳳梨，比買樂透還刺激」，因為開獎後才知道輸贏，農委會表示，這些鳳梨應該是零星個案，可能是低溫貯藏不當等原因。
農委會副主委 陳駿季表示：「它(金鑽)的整個的冷鏈的系統，大概在最適當的冷鏈系統，是在(攝氏)13度左右。用7度到8度，來運輸我們金鑽鳳梨的時候，就會產生一些糖化作用，甚至有一些黑心的作用。」
農委會指出，運輸貯藏過程不當，引發病害，鳳梨也會有褐化腐爛現象。因為中國停止輸入台灣鳳梨，政府拿出十億元，進行輔導，其一是要讓鳳梨賣到其他國家，並祭出運費補貼、發放銷售業績獎勵金等措施，不過，當出口鳳梨，品質不符合期待，除非是藥檢不合格，才會不給補助，但農委會希望如果出口鳳梨出問題，業者可以重新供貨。
農委會副主委 陳駿季表示：「就是說，當他出了問題的時候，百分之百無條件的再供貨一次，這個是業者也願意來跟我們，跟他對方的貿易商，來做協商的。」
但農委會補充，如果出口的鳳梨，進口商或是超市拒收，並且不讓產品上架，農委會也會不給予補助，至於已經上架賣到消費者手上，遭到客訴，會要求貿易商重新補貨。
