There was a bus accident on Yuying Road outside Taichung's Dajia Junior High School. A Fengyuan public bus drove down the road at 6 a.m. and for unknown reasons crashed into cars on the side of the road. The driver then drove back to the parking lot. Eight cars were damaged. Police found the driver and he did not have an alcohol reaction. He was sent to the hospital where doctors found out he had had a stroke. He is now in the intensive care unit.
This bus sideswipes eight cars on the side of the road. The driver then accelerates and drives the bus back to the bus company parking lot. The car owners are irate over the hit and run.
(The driver involved in the accident) ran away back to their parking lot. (So you suspected something was up with the driver?) There was something wrong. He can't just flee the scene after sideswiping (the cars).
The incident occurred at 6 a.m. on the 25th on Taichung's Yuying Road. Police later located the driver, surnamed Wu, at the bus company parking lot.
(The driver involved in the accident) looked ok. He was able to take a breath test and walk on his own. It was later on when he was signing his name that we noticed his hand was shaking. He won't be charged with a hit and run, but he will be liable for the damage.
Police say Wu's blood alcohol test was negative but he was having trouble speaking. He was sent to the hospital, where tests confirmed he'd had an acute stroke. He is currently in the ICU. The bus company says Wu has over 10 years of experience as a bus driver, is in good health, and is not overworked.
The driver was off yesterday and came back to work today. In general, our drivers work a maximum 10-hour shift.
The company says apart from regular checkups, drivers get breath tests before leaving the lot. Police say the investigation is ongoing and Wu has legal culpability.
公車疾駛而來，朝著路邊的車子衝撞，隨即又加速離開，過程中又一連撞了好幾台車。有機車騎士目擊過程，想要把公車攔下，不過公車 還是往前行駛，開回公司的停車場。車主發現自己的車子，成了這個樣子，不滿司機肇事逃逸。
受害車主表示：「他(肇事駕駛)跑回去他們的停車場。（所以你懷疑這個司機的狀況？) 有問題啊，他撞了之後，不能肇事逃逸。」
週一上午6點多，這輛豐原客運的公車，正要出發前往載客，卻在行經大甲國中的育英路，撞擊路邊的車輛，不過車輛沒有停下來，沿路碰撞了八台自小客車，警方後來在 客運的停車場 ，找到吳姓駕駛。
大甲交通分隊分隊長 周宜瑩表示：「（肇事駕駛) 看起來都算清楚，可以酒測也可以自己走，來做酒測，是後來在簽名的時候，手會有點抖。沒有肇事逃逸的刑事責任，但是他必須負擔賠償。」
警方表示，公車駕駛沒有酒精反應，但卻無法表達，送醫之後診斷為急性腦中風，還在加護病房觀察。客運公司表示，這名駕駛有10多年的駕駛經驗，平時身體狀況良好，否認有過勞的情況。
豐原客運課長 王振宇表示：「駕駛員的話是昨天才休息，今天才來上班，原則上開車時間 ，都會安排在10個小時以內。」
客運公司強調，除了定時的健康檢查，出車前也都要進行酒測。雖然這次的意外沒有造成人員受傷，但警方表示，駕駛還是有法律責任，事故原因也還在調查當中。
