Toddler Falls to Death from Aowanda Suspension Bridge|奧萬大吊橋首宗墜橋意外 2歲男童不治

Parents should be more cautious when your family visit Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area, which is a popular tourist attraction, especially during this season when the leaves change colors. A deadly incident just happened the other day when a 2-year-old boy fell off from the suspension bridge, that is 70 meters above the gorge. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.


Tragedy struck at Aowanda National Forest Recreation Park when a 2-year-old boy fell off the park's 180-meter-long suspension bridge. The boy was visiting the park with his parents when he stumbled and fell against the purse seine, which was pushed aside. He fell 70 meters into the gorge. Park workers who saw the accident immediately called the fire department.

At 1:40 p.m. on (Nov. 3), a 2-year-old boy surnamed Hsu fell from the suspension bridge. A search and rescue mission was immediately launched.

The boy had no vital signs by the time paramedics found him and CPR during the 80-minute ride to the hospital failed to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Park officials say the bridge meets all safety requirements and the purse seine does not separate from the bridge without significant force. This was the bridge's first fatality.
