PRESIDENT'S APPROVAL RATE ONLY 33%, CABINET ONLY 38%|蔡支持度掉到33.1% 內閣不滿意度61.1%

A recent poll showed that President Tsai's approval rating was 33.1% while Premier Lin Chuan's disapproval rating was at 61.1%. The Presidential Office responded that poll results may vary, but all economic figures have shown positive signs. Taiwanese Public Opinion Foundation released the results of its poll in June. President Tsai Ing-wen's approval rating dropped by 6.3% to only 33.1%, with the disapproval rating down by 2.2% to 49.6%. Premier Lin Chuan's Cabinet also hit a record-high disapproval rating of 61.1%. The poll surveyed people by gender, age, region, education level, and ethnicity. In all of these groups, more than half of the respondents were disappointed or dissatisfied with the Cabinet. ==YOU YING-LUNG, Chair, Taiwanese Public Opinion Foundation== Regarding President Tsai's reputation, 49.6% of the respondents were dissatisfied. It was the third highest over the past 11 months. Less than 30% of the respondents were satisfied with how the government handled Panama's move to sever diplomatic ties with Taiwan whereas 53% were dissatisfied. On how the government handled cross-strait relations, the satisfaction and dissatisfaction rates were both at the lowest of 34.6% and 58.2%. ==CHIEN HSI-CHIEH former DPP legislator== Facing the One-China principle, can't Taiwan do anything about the current situation? I think President Tsai's inaction has led to the people's disappointment and lack of confidence in her. People see her weakness. This is a crisis for President Tsai.
