YOSHINOYA SUPPLIER CONFIRMS NATTO FROM JAPAN NUKE AREA|吉野家供應商坦承 醬油包來自日核災區

Fast food chain Yoshinoya's Natto supplier Taicrown confirmed to the Food and Drug Administration that its soy sauce packets are imported from Ibaraki Prefecture, one of the five prefectures devastated by the nuclear disaster in Japan. The FDA immediately launched a special project to conduct inspections on Japanese food products sold in stores and supermarkets all over Taiwan to see if there are other unapproved Japanese food products currently on the market. The inspections are expected to complete within a week, and the result will be announced every day. The government will also enforce stricter border control for food products from Japan. On December 12, Taicrown confirmed to the Food and Drug Administration that the place of origin of the soy sauce packet in its imported Natto product is Ibaraki Prefecture.
