TRAVEL AGENCIES HOPE TO BE COVERED FOR FELXIBLE WORK SCHEDULES|例休進入勞檢期 旅遊業怨難適用恐挨罰

From July the new labor law amendment comes into effect. However, Travel agencies argue that a tour to the US or Europe is often over 10 days, which is difficult to manage employment under the new labor law. Some say the regulations are outdated and encourage the government to make adjustments so that travel agencies can be allowed to adopt flexible work schedules like other tourism sectors. == TOUR GUIDE OF CHINESE TOURISTS== Come, let's go! Thai and Vietnam groups they like the night markets and they want to go and look at them, so if you say after working 14 hours you have to take a rest, it's impossible. Drivers complain that especially in July and August, the peak season, with long working hours, it is hard to take a day off, and some domestic agencies who cover Japan tour groups say; taking days off under the new labor law is a waste of time, they would rather earn the money and not take time off. ==HSU CHUN HSIANG guide of Japan tour group == Japanese tourists don't take such long tours, at the most five days, so there's no need for that flexible day off thing, we would rather work more and not take a day off, if you take a day off, you don't get pay. That's just the so-called seven days on, off one, how can the tourism industry work like that? Travel agents say they have sent documents to the Ministry of Labor asking to be included in the four-week flexible hours system. For tour group guides, the MOL said it would consider further about including these under the 84/1 responsibility system.
