2 STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS FILE AGAINST TRUMP|

The latest developments have not been kind to US President Donald Trump. The Attorney Generals of Washington DC and Maryland are filing a lawsuit claiming that Trump's businesses are taking revenue away from private businesses. In addition, Trump's previous executive orders banning refugees and citizens of several majority-Muslim states from entering the US, have once again been rejected by courts. The Attorneys General of Washington DC and Maryland called a press conference on June 12, accusing US President Donald Trump of failing to divest himself of his business empire, receiving gifts from foreign governments through his businesses and depriving revenue from private businesses. They said that Trump is violating the US Constitution in doing so. ==KARL RACINE Attorney General, District of Columbia== Never in the history of this country have we had a president with these kinds of extensive business entanglements, or a president who refused to adequately distance themselves from their holdings. President Trump's businesses and his dealings violate the Constitution's anti-corruption provisions, known as the emoluments clauses. ==BRIAN FROSH Attorney General, Maryland== He doesn't appear to understand or care about these violations of the Constitution, the Constitution that he swore to uphold and protect. Specific constitutional violations the attorneys general accused Trump of committing included receiving of guests in his hotels in Washington, taking business away from other hotels in DC and Maryland. Countries including Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have also held government events in Trump's hotels, making Trump suspected of receiving gifts from foreign governments. They also said that Trump has not adequately separated himself from his business interests, and so they are suing on behalf of the taxpayers of their states. The Washington Post reported that, if federal judges hear the case, the plaintiffs will demand that Trump release his tax records and will request a court order to stop Trump from further Constitutional violations. Meanwhile, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco rejected Trump's amended version of the Muslim travel ban on June 12. The Fourth Circuit had made a similar decision in May. This court ruling was on a lawsuit filed by the state of Hawaii, which argued that the three-month ban on citizens of six Muslim countries from entering the US, and the 120-day ban on all refugees, were both discriminatory. The court pointed out that the Trump administration had not provided convincing reasons that allowing citizens of the six countries and refugees in to the US will harm US interests. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that the ban will ultimately be validated in the Supreme Court. TRANSLATED BY:JOHN CHEN
