TYPE-A FLU CLUSTER INFECTION IN HOSPITAL CONTAINED|北市聯醫仁愛院區爆流感群聚 13人染A流

The Renai Branch of the Taipei City Hospital was the site of an influenza outbreak, with 19 people experiencing flu symptoms and 13 confirmed to have caught type-A influenza after quick screening. All infected patients have been quarantined and treated. The Centers for Disease Control said that influenza could continue to spread as people travel during the Dragon Boat Festival, and that publicly funded influenza drugs will be available for anyone with influenza-infected family members, co-workers, and classmates. An influenza outbreak was discovered in the 6th floor rooms of the Taipei City Hospital Renai Branch starting on May 22. Nineteen people experienced flu-like symptoms such a fever, coughing, and muscle pain, including 10 patients, 6 medical staff, 1 family member and 2 caretakers. A quick test revealed that 13 were infected.
