NORTH KOREA TESTFIRES MISSILE, CHALLENGES SOUTH'S NEW LEADER|文在寅甫上任 北韓試射飛彈 飛行700公里

North Korea launched a test missile from a site near the city of Kusong in the early morning of the 14th. The missile flew over 700 kilometers. This is North Korea's seventh missile test this year. He also called on North Korea not to misjudge the situation and said that South Korea will strengthen its national defense in response to any military provocations. South Korean media said that North Korea is taking provocative actions in order to gain a more favorable position in negotiations, as both the US and South Korea are emphasizing a diplomatic resolution to tensions on the Korean Peninsula. It is also a protest against military cooperation between the US and South Korea and a sign that North Korea will not bend to international pressure.
