Gunshot Incident in Daliao, Kaohsiung, Two Drivers Shot 大寮2轎車並排停紅燈遭開15槍 2駕駛中彈

A drive-by shooting happened early this morning in Kaoshiung's Daliao District. Two people were injured.  The police are now investigating the event and suspects are still on the run.

The white BMW dropped in speed as it exited the express lane and ran into an electric pole. The driver had gotten shot. On the night of Nov. 8 in the Daliao District of Kaohsiung, two white sedans came to a stop side-by-side at a red light, and gunshots went off soon as traffic lights turned green and the cars started moving forward. Two cars got shot at least 15 times. One driver got shot in the back of the neck and the other in the leg. 

Nearby resident: “It was 3:59 a.m. Bang, bang, bang! I heard four shots.”

Nearby resident: “He heard gunshots. I didn't hear it but he woke me up and told me to look at it.”

Professionals arrived early in the morning to clean the blood on the ground. A nearby electric pole got shifted from the hard crash, and a bullet had pierced through a steel door of a resident's place. Residents have lingering fears from the night before. After carefully examining surveillance footage, police found three dark-colored cars following the two white sedans and someone sitting in the passenger seat of the car in lead had fired the shots.

Lin Yen-tien, Commissioner, Police Department, Kaohsiung City: “A driver surnamed Ho got shot first in the driver's seat. There were four bullet holes in his car. The other driver surnamed Weng got shot after. There were eleven bullet holes in his car. Weng got shot in the foot and leg.”

The two victim drivers don't know each other, according to the police, but they both have criminal records. Police are currently doing background checks, investigating whether the gunshot incident was triggered by debt problems and who the main target may be.

附近居民指出：「3點59分，砰砰砰，有響了4響。」

其他居民也說：「他（家人）是有聽到槍聲，我沒聽到，然後他叫我起來看。」

清潔人員一早就到現場清洗血跡等，一旁電線桿被受害車輛撞歪，附近民宅的不鏽鋼大門也被打穿一個洞，讓居民心有餘悸。警方調閱監視畫面後，確認有3輛深色轎車疑似同夥，由第1輛車副駕駛開槍，目前正在追緝當中。

高市警察局長林炎田表示：「第1部的侯姓被害人的轎車，先在駕駛座這邊先遭開槍，被開了4槍，車身的彈孔有4發；第2部翁姓的被害人，車身有11處彈孔的狀況，他是腳部受傷，（車身）有11發。」

據警方了解，受害駕駛互不認識，但兩人都有前科。究竟是因債務等糾紛遭人槍擊，或有其他原因，而嫌犯鎖定的目標又是兩人中的哪一個，警方還在釐清當中。
