Close to 300 Residents Evacuated From Datong 台7甲便道今晨搶通 撤離96車297人

Typhoon Nesat brought torrential rain in Taiwan. In Yilan, Close to 300 residents were evacuated from Datong Township following landslides and collapsed roads. Over 100 remain trapped, including a cancer patient that is running short on medication.

“It's operational.”A total of 297 residents and 96 cars were evacuated after sections of Provincial Highway 7 collapsed. Repairs took until midnight on the 17th. Landslides were also reported in Yilan County's Datong Township, trapping many residents and tourists including a cancer patient who is running short on medication.

Mr. Yun, Mingchi Resort Manager: “We have 266 guests and 37 employees on the property. One of the guests is a breast cancer patient who only has enough medication for today.”

Resort Guest: “We are sleeping on the floor of the conference room. Some are sleeping with their heads on the table but most of us are sleeping on the floor.”

Resort Guest: “We had to cancel our hotel stay in Taipei because of this.”

Hundreds of guests are trapped at another nearby villa on the mountain as crews work to repair the road.

“This part is collapsed. ”Progress is being hampered by the rain and loose soil. According to reports, six repair vehicles have tumbled into the river so far.

Lin Shih-chih, Section Chief, DGH Fourth Maintenance Office: “Two subcontractor trucks fell into Lanyang River.”

Meanwhile, fish breeders are suffering losses as roads have been cut off and breeding ponds have lost power.

Mr. Hsu, Fish Breeder: “Our belongings are still in the house. We will need a bridge or something to get across if the water gets bigger.”

Lin Zi-miao, Yilan County Magistrate: “We have sent tow trucks over.”

The county government is doing what it can, and fortunately floodwaters are receding. Unfortunately, this is the fate area residents suffer every time there is a typhoon.

引導民眾離開災區，經過漏夜搶修，總算在17日凌晨12時搶通台7甲便道，原本就地安置的96車、297人陸續被撤離。不過受到尼莎颱風及共伴效應，宜蘭縣大同鄉發生土石流，台7線多處路段坍方，有民眾還在等待脫困，甚至在明池山莊更有癌症患者受困，面臨用藥問題。

明池山莊雲館長指出：「我山莊的住客有266人、員工37人，目前有比較緊急的狀況是有一名住客，他是乳癌的患者，他的用藥到今天就用完了。受困旅客睡在會議室的地上，有的趴在桌上，旅客在台北有行程，然後住宿也是被取消了，因為沒有辦法住了。」

「這還在塌喔。」好幾輛遊覽車停在外頭，另一處的棲蘭山莊也有上百位旅客無法下山，暫時擠在會議室休息，先行緊急發放物資讓旅客至少先進食，畢竟坍塌路段仍在積極搶修。外頭雨下不停，挖土機冒雨動工，只見土石不斷鬆動，就怕有持續坍塌風險，畢竟搶修過程更一度傳出有6輛車衝落溪床。

公路總局第四區養護工程處獨立山工務段長林士智說明：「2部廠商的工程車把它推到蘭陽溪。」

宜蘭的大同鄉災情嚴重，有漁民無奈表示，通往魚塭的路已經斷掉不通，養殖的鱸魚更因為魚塭沒電全數死亡。

當地漁民徐先生回應：「我們家當都在裡面，萬一這個水再大的話就不行，搭個便橋或怎麼樣讓我們可以過去搶救我們的東西。」

宜蘭縣長林姿妙表示：「所以我們也叫那個吊車，先讓你們能夠過去。」

宜蘭縣長林姿妙允諾會盡快處理，而在宜蘭市區目前雨勢已經相對趨緩，像是河濱公園本來溪水暴漲淹水，現在水也都退了。只是一場颱風過後，山區無論交通或是農漁損害，都對當地民眾造成影響。
