Lin Didn't Show for NTU Committee Review 台大學術倫理審定委員會 林智堅未現身

DPP's Taoyuan mayor candidate Lin Chih-chien has been accused of plagiarize his thesis. National Taiwan University convened an academic ethics review committee for the first time yesterday, chaired by Su Hung-dah, who earlier called this case a "scandal."

DPP Taoyuan mayor candidate, Lin Chih-chien's thesis plagiarism controversy has been raging. National Taiwan University held an academic ethics review committee on the 27th in response to the thesis controversy. However, Lin did not show up. Lin's camp questioned Su Hung-dah, who chairs the review committee, for calling this case a "scandal" even before a proper review. They ask Su to recuse himself. However, the review committee unanimously decided to reject Su's recusal after discussion. Lin's representatives have decided to file a rebuttal in accordance with the law.

Huang Ti-ying, Lin's Lawyer: “In accordance with Paragraph 3, Article 33 of the Administrative Procedure Act, after our legal team receives the official document, we will file for the decision to be reversed.”

Lin's representatives held a press conference on the 28th in response to the alleged plagiarism. They said Lin wrote the paper himself, along with creating the research structure and variables, and there is no plagiarism involved when compared to Yu Cheng-huang.

Huang Wei-chun, Lin's Campaign Spokesperson: “Mr. Yu used the same content as us. But the problem is, he didn't present first-hand information he got. The information he presented was second-hand information, which is poll data provided by Mayor Lin. Since he didn't do the polls and used ours, presenting the findings in the first person is weird.”

Lin Chih-chien, Taoyuan mayor candidate (DPP): “I sincerely hope that the Center for Taiwan Academic Research Ethics will be able to clarify this relevant information in a fair and just way to give me back my innocence.”

Lin insists that he did not plagiarize his thesis. He said his paper's polls, research outline, and content are earlier than Yu's. He's asking outsiders to review his defense and not rely on false rumors. The relevant information has been sent to the Center for Taiwan Academic Research Ethics and he looks forward to a fair review. 

民進黨桃園市長參選人林智堅論文抄襲風波延燒，台大昨日針對論文爭議召開學術倫理審定委員會。不過，林智堅並未現身，因為林智堅陣營質疑審定會召集人蘇宏達未審先判稱「醜聞」，要求蘇宏達應迴避，不過經委員討論表決後，一致決定駁回迴避案，林智堅陣營將依法提起覆決。

林智堅委任律師黃帝穎表示：「依照《行政程序法》第33條第3項的規定，我們律師團在收到公文之後，也會提起覆決的救濟。」

林智堅陣營今日召開記者會，針對林智堅台大國發所論文遭控抄襲一事，從林智堅用第一人稱寫作、研究架構、研究變數等寫作，對照另一位當事人余正煌論文，證明林智堅論文為原創，絕無抄襲。

林智堅競選總部發言人黃韋鈞指出：「余先生他所使用的內容裡面，他一樣使用我們，可是問題是，這並不是他所得到的第一手資料，這個是他拿到第二手資料，也就是，林智堅市長所提供的民調資料，既然不是他做的民調，他使用我們這個第一人稱，就會很奇怪。」

林智堅說：「我由衷地期盼說，學倫會能夠去釐清這些相關的資料，然後在一個公平公正的情況之下，還我一個清白。」

林智堅強調，自己的論文絕無抄襲，包含民調、研究大綱、研究內容都早於余正煌，請外界檢視他的答辯書，勿以訛傳訛，相關資料都已送交學倫會，期盼學倫會能公正審查。
