Fire Reported at AIDC Plant in Taichung 國造戰機漢翔台中西屯廠 粉塵氣爆起火

A fire was reported at Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation No. 8 manufacturing hanger in Taichung's Xitun district.  Four fire brigades were dispatched to fight the fire, along with an ambulance to help on scene. An employee was reported to have signs of cardiac arrest.

Thick white smoke erupted from the factory area. A total of seven employees were injured and all have been sent to the hospital. According to the fire department's preliminary investigation, the items that caught fire were aluminum alloy and dust. The detailed cause of the fire is still under investigation.

 

漢翔公司證實，8號棚廠鉗工作業區集塵區，上午10點15分發生粉塵氣爆，共7位員工受傷，已全部送醫，２人送榮總醫治，3位送澄清醫院，2人送中國醫藥學院治療。警消初步調查，起火燃燒的物品是鋁合金與粉塵，起火的當下，業者有自行滅火、疏散人員，火勢在10點26分控制，至於細部事故發生原因仍在研判中。
