The 54th Golden Bell Award Nomination had been announced on August 28th. The television series "The World Between Us" produced by the Public Television Service (PTS), led the number of nominations with a total of 14 categories. Actors Alyssa Chia and Wu Kang-ren had also been nominated for best actress and best actor respectively. PTS topped the country with 111 nominations. The veteran entertainer Zhang Xiao-Yan received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The advisory committee of the Golden Bell said Zhang had made her debut on the stage since she was five and had worked in television, movie and stage plays throughout her career. She is literally the encyclopedia of Taiwan's television history.

Nominations for the 54th Golden Bell Award had been announced on August 28th with Public Television Service's (PTS) TV series "The World Between Us" leading the number of nominations. The series had won high praises by digging into several social issues including random killing, media distortion and death penalty. The series had received recognition in 14 categories including Best Television series, Best Actor and Best Actress.

Actress Alyssa Chia was nominated for Best Actress for the first time and is thought to have a high chance of winning the award. However, the competition in the Best Supporting Actor is even more intense with JC Lin who played the role of a schizophrenic patient in the series, going head-to-head with James Wen and Honduras.

Three actors in "The World Between Us" had been nominated for Best Supporting Actor is a pleasant surprise for everyone. They are indeed worth the nominations. Actress Tracy Chou, Hsieh Chiung-hsuan and Chen Yu all put on a good act. I think it's like eating a dish with hot pepper, it is easier to be able to highlight that part. But once you spend the time and appreciate the series, you will find there are multiple layers to it.

PTS-produced TV series "On Children" discussed the relationship conflicts between parents and children and were nominated for 14 categories as well. The Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development, (MOC) expressed it had picked 191 works competing for 39 award categories from a total of 1995 works submitted for this award. Many self-produced series done by PTS had been recognized by the Committee.

Now we have to initiate "groupings" when hosting variety shows.

"100 Calls" made into the Best Reality or Game Show category, along with Sandy Wu nominated for the Best Host. Sandy Wu is going against her father, Jacky Wu for the Best Host spot, which is going to be quite interesting. The nomination announcement press conference had also announced the first winner of this year's Golden Bell Award. Veteran entertainer Chang Hsiao-yen had received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

第54屆電視金鐘獎28號公布入圍名單，其中，公視戲劇"我們與惡的距離"，探討隨機殺人、媒體亂象、廢死爭議等社會議題，大獲好評，這次入圍包含戲劇節目獎、男女主角在內14項獎項，堪稱大贏家。

藝人賈靜雯首度入圍女主角，就被看好拿下視后。不過，男配角獎項競爭更是激烈，林哲熹演活思覺失調的精神病患，將與同劇演員溫昇豪、洪都拉斯，一同角逐殊榮。

金鐘獎評審團主委 瞿友寧表示：「"與惡"入圍三個男配角，那大家當然也是一個驚喜驚奇，但是就是他們的確，值得被大家看到，他們表演的好，包括周采詩或者是謝瓊煖，或者是陳妤，其實都在我們的，熱烈的討論範圍，但是我想就像，比如說一道菜有個辣椒，其實很容易被突顯出來，但是你在細細品味的時候，就會有不同的層次。」

公視戲劇"你的孩子不是你的孩子"講述親子關係的衝突，同樣大有斬獲，跟"與惡"都是入圍14項獎項。文化部影視局表示，今年從1995件參賽作品中，選出191件入圍，角逐39個獎項，其中，公視有許多自製節目獲得評審肯定

「現在連主持綜藝節目，也要揪團。」

像是"一呼百應"，一舉入圍益智及實境節目獎加上主持人獎，主持人吳姍儒更與爸爸吳宗憲成了競爭對手，勢必成為一大看點。記者會也搶先揭曉金鐘獎第一個得獎名單，資深藝人張小燕獲頒終身成就獎。
