Military Band Incorporates Pop Music for National Day Show|三軍樂儀隊國慶表演 罕見加入流行音樂

The National Day celebration is scheduled to take place this coming Wednesday, and the R.O.C. military band is rehearsing for their show. This will be the first time for the music band to perform in the same formation with the marching band and along with POP music. Su Chi-Lin, a naval honor guard who won a special award at the World Drill Championship this May, is also bringing his experience to the rehearsal to add spark to the show.


The R.O.C. military band is in top form during the rehearsal process. The band members are marching at a uniform pace and changing formation, showcasing the band's power and beauty. They are looking to showcase, with their performance, the theme of this year's National Day, which is "Joint Happiness".

This will be the first time that the music band joins the marching band in the same formation. In hopes to incorporate popular and lively elements in their powerful rifle drills, band's music list will include hit songs from Mayday, a popular Taiwanese band. Su Chi-Lin, a naval honor guard who won a special award at the World Drill Championship in the U.S., will be showcasing his signature rifle drill. It was also him who incorporated the experiences he gained from abroad into the rehearsal process.

When the half-time drill begins, there will be several moves in which we clap our rifles. We've also incorporated some of the best moves showcased at the World Drill Championship into the upcoming collaboration with the music band.

The 17-minute long rehearsal attracted a massive crowd. Many children even dressed in marching band uniforms, play with their own rifles and mimic Su' moves.

The military bands are working hard during rehearsing to showcase their creativity, professionalism and presence. They are aiming to bring the best show to the public on National Day.
