TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR DILUTING PIG VACCINES|售來路不明疫苗致仔豬暴斃 雲林2嫌收押

Two suspects have been remanded in custody for selling diluted pig vaccines. The counterfeit vaccines might have been the cause of the deaths of piglets recently reported in Yunlin and Changhua counties. Pig farmers were busy injecting vaccine to piglets. Three-week old piglets must injected with porcine circovirus vaccine in order to minimize death rate. Farmers only recognize manufacturer's seal labels. So who is easier to get cheated? It's not possible for farmers to distinguish many types of vaccine one by one. Prosecutors revealed, some people purchased empty vaccine bottles and then ordered vaccine from the original pharmaceutical manufacturer. The vaccine was mixed with water and sold at NT$65 to NT$74, which is lower than manufacturers' price.
