KMT'S HAU, HU AND HSIU PUSH FOR RADIOACTIVE AREA FOOD BAN|郝胡合體推反核食公投 洪秀柱意外現身

Kuomintang scheduled its by-election for party leadership on May 20, 2017. In addition to the incumbent chairperson Hung Hsiu-chiu, there has been speculation that the two deputy chairs Hau Lung-pin and Jason Hu may also run for the post. KMT Deputy Chairman Hau Lung-pin has been pushing for a referendum on banning food product imports from Japan's nuclear disaster areas. Another deputy chairman Jason Hu showed up calling public servants for supports. However I am being misunderstood by the media and the public. Therefore I emphasize again, we are diverging and converging on issues, glad to see the optimistic outcome. Hung said that she came to support the referendum, in the same time she is urging all public servants to participate in the weekend march for demanding public hearings on Japanese nuclear disaster area food product imports. As for the referendum, over 70,000 signatures had collected within three weeks. Hau is confident over the number will reach to a legal requirement by the end of this year.
