XI: CHINA AND US AT CRITICAL JUNCTURE|末代歐習會 習近平:中美處於關鍵時刻

Xi said that the transition of Power in the United States coincides with a very critical period for Sino-US relations and expressed hopes that the two countries can continue to work together. Meanwhile, Obama reiterated that America and China share one of the most important relationships in the world. Taiwan, however, was not mentioned by either of them. In the APEC bilateral meeting, the US President Barack Obama and the Chinese President Xi Jinping met for the last time. Xi said, the US power transition will be a critical period for the Sino-US relations, and the two nations to continue stable collaborations. President Obama had emphasized the Sino-US relationship is the most consequential and productive in the world. Obama further stressed that he and President Xi are united in strong opposition to North Korea Kim Jong-un's provocations. President Obama and President Xi had met nine times in the past three and half years. However, the President-elect Trump has accused China of 'influencing climate changes and manipulating trade policies. The Sino-US relations are yet certain until Trump takes over the power.
