EARTHQUAKE SURVIVOR FINDS WILL TO CARRY ON|家人地震中全罹難 曹瑋瓴:活著就有希望

Tsao Wei-ling, is one of the victims that was trapped inside a collapsed building for 53 hours, that happened during an earthquake this February. Her husband and her son, both passed away in this incident. Fortunately she received much love and care during her rehabilitation, and she is determined to show her bravery to other people who had encounter difficult situation like this. Sitting at wheelchair, Tsao Wei-ling thanked the Chimei Hospital and showed her wounds left by three surgeries. She was one of the residents at the collapsed Weiguan Jinlong residential building in Tainan. She is the only survivor of her eight family members. Tsao suffered from her painful memory and is trying to encourage other people who had encountered similar experiences. ==TSAO WEI-LING, Weiguan Jinlong residential building== After I came to the Chimei Hospital, I saw many older people. I was sympathetic and fortunate. I am lucky to have many more loves and cares. Therefore I shall pass this luck and share with many more people. Tsao could not forget the image of her husband and son died next to her. She was candid about the painful process of rehabilitation. She was depressed and could not help herself. She was supported by the loves give by her families and encouragement from friends. Since then she was determined to be brave and never give up. ==TSAO WEI-LING, Weiguan Jinlong residential building== My friend told me, she said that I am crying for losing my son. But had I ever thought of my mother were in grief of her daughter? Therefore you are a mother, and don't forget that you are also a daughter. Tsao was trapped in the collapsed building for 53 hours. She was in traumatic shock and acute respiratory failure when being rushed to the hospital. Beyond all imaginations, you don't see any sign of suffering from her. Instead of, you see smiles from her face. She has no complaint or self-pity. In turn, she has become thankful and an encouraging icon to other patients. Her determination is final.
