Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkuo could be in crisis. A total of 22 ER doctors at the hospital have quitted their job, which could significantly squeeze its capacity to take in ER patients. In a press conference yesterday, the hospital assured the public that its emergency room is still well-staffed, and said efforts are underway to retain doctors inclined to quit. The Ministry of Health and Welfare also says it has made clear to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, that it will not allow the hospital to lose its medical center standing, which will happen if the number of staff at its ER drop to lower than 45. The number now stands at 58. 22 emergency room doctors are quitting their jobs at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkuo.
