KMT FACTIONS WANT NEW CSC MEMBERS AFTER NEW CHAIR IN PLACE|"挺吳派"中常委提案 當面籲洪秀柱放手

After supporters of Wu Den-yih proposed in a central standing committee meeting to delay the nomination and election process for new central committee members to after Wu takes office, they then called for current chairwoman Hung Hsiu-chu to "let go." Hung finally announced that the proposal will be discussed by the relevant organizations and decided on next week. KMT Chairwoman Hung Hsiu-chu presided over the party's central standing committee meeting for the first time after she lost the chair election on May 20. Many participants seemed to arrive with a plan. ==HSIEH LUNG-CHIEH KMT Central Standing Committee Member== We commend the chairwoman for her place in history. But Ms. Hung, it's time to let go. I believe, as a politician who chooses the high road, you would like to leave office as a positive figure. Central standing committee members who supported Wu called on Hung to "let go," saying that this was their way of showing respect for her. 26 members signed on to a proposal to delay the election of the party's central committee members until after Wu takes office, which has been seen as an act of open defiance to Hung. But some committee members are not on board. ==LIAO WAN-LUNG KMT Central Standing Committee Member== During the local and presidential elections, if party members had been this diligent, this united, then we never would have lost. I think it's a huge shame. After more than an hour of debate, Hung made her decision. ==HUNG HSIU-CHU KMT Chair== This proposal will be delivered to the relevant committees and discussed with the signees. It will then be voted on at the 166th meeting of the central standing committee on June 14. This meeting is adjourned. Hung left as soon as she finished. The disputes over the election schedules for KMT party leadership will be resolved only on June 14. The storm in the KMT continues to brew.
