President Tsai Ing-wen is expected to visit the nation's allies in the South Pacific as her third state visit since taking office in May last year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Wednesday. Different from her previous two trips, which focused on Latin America, the president is scheduling an upcoming tour to South Pacific to visit the nation's allies in the region, including the Solomon Islands, the Marshall Islands, Palau, Nauru, and Tuvalu. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paul Chang said these visits served to stabilize mutual relations and are therefore "good arrangements."
