Egypt also sent its fighters to bomb militant camps in eastern Libya just hours after IS fighters claimed responsibility for the Friday massacre near Cairo that killed 29 Christians, who were on their way to a remote monastery. Egyptian officials said the attackers were trained in Libya and further retaliations are possible. The attacked occurred in Minya Governorate of central Egypt. The bus was taking a group of Coptic Christians travelling south to a monastery at 135 kilometers from Cairo. The bus was attacked by eight to ten masked gunmen, they kept shooting the bus and at least 28 people died, 25 wounded. Coptic Christians account 10% of the Egyptian population, the largest Christian community in the Middle East. Since last December, 70 Coptic Christians died from church bombings. The attacks were initiated by Islamic terrorists.
