MOTC SUSPENDS SIX COACH COMPANIES FROM OPERATION|評鑑丁等6家遊覽車業者 停止部分營業

After Iris Travel Service Company's coach incident, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications inspected coach operators in Taiwan. On March 31, the MOTC suspended the operation of 6 coach companies. Some stated that the inspection was not practical as it focused mostly on paperwork. The National Joint Association of Bus for Tourists said that the market chaos was caused by low fare prices. It suggested that the government set a minimum rate like Japan. The Directorate General of Highways stated that the six operators can resume normal operation after passing the inspection.
