NANTOU JAPANESE ERA TRAIN STATION UP FOR RENT OR SALE|南投集集驛站閒置傳將標售 在地盼活化

A former train station in Nantou is about to be sold off by the county government after failed attemps to secure a tennant. However, local residents are against the move, saying that selling the train station should only be the last resort. Nantou's Chichi Train Station has long been one of the county's tourist hotspots. Originally, the county government used the nearby Chichi Yi station as a visitor information center. However, it has now been empty for over a year, after the county government took it over again. However, in the end, it did not move in, and the rental contract was halted. The county government said Chichi Yi station is next to Chichi Train Station and is in a commercial zone, but if they are unable to rent it out, they may see if any other county government departments want to use it. The worst case scenario is that they will sell it off. They still have to consider if the county government can manage the building.
