STUDENTS LAUNCH BOYCOTTING SHOPS PAYING LESS|打工時薪只70元 屏科大學生串聯抵制店家

Starting January this year, the minimum hourly wage has been raised to NT$133. Recently students at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology said some shops around the campus are still paying their employees NT$60 to 70 per hour. Therefore, they decided to launch a campaign to boycott these shops. There are many stores and cafes around the university campus, those places offered students work opportunities. This student came to work in Pingtung City from a 50-minitue riding distance. ==HUANG, Nat'l Pingtung Univ. of Science and Technology== When I worked two years ago, my hourly wage was around NT$80. What I hear now is not much different, the maximum hourly wage is NT$100 the most or maybe NT$120 the best. The hidden truth is, these stores and cafes around university campus do not pay as regulated by law, some students become intolerant, they posted the names of violating stores and cafes on the web, showing some hourly wages remain at NT$60 or NT$70, which is half to the regulated NT$133 per hour. ==SHAO YU-LUN Convener, Pingtung Student Labor Front== There are many types: such as low wage or you punched out for getting off but you still have works to do. Or it was your day off, but you got notified 15 minutes prior to regular work time, you need to come to work. Students launched a boycott, urging all students to buy only from the shops and cafes that follow labor regulation. Some stores refused to explain, some declined the accusation while some said they will soon improve. The county government started labor inspection. ==HSIEN MING-CHANG Deputy Dir., Pingtung County Dept. of Labor Affairs== NT$70 are not matching with the minimum hourly wage NT$133. We will definitely issue a fine from NT$20,000 to NT$300,000. As to young labors, we are to extend our inspection. The county government stated, the labor inspection is to be completed by next Monday, and all violating shops and cafes will have their names publicized. The Student Labor Front said the fines issued are not able to help students getting back their deserved hourly pays. The students are to establish the Student Labor Union for the future negotiation with employers. TRANSLATED BY：ANTHONY LIN 今年一月起基本工資已經調為時薪133元，但是在屏東科技大學，這兩天有許多學生串聯指控，學校附近約許多店家，時薪只有6、70元，學生發起抵制不消費，屏東縣政府今天也展開勞檢。 校門口附近幾乎都是餐飲店，便利學生吃三餐，也提供許多工讀機會，但就讀三年級的黃姓學生，卻都大老遠到50分鐘路程外的屏東市打工。 ==屏科大黃姓學生== 在工作的時候 我的時薪大概是80元 大概兩年前的時候 然後現在外面聽到的 也不會差多少 就是 最多最多到100(元) 或者比較好的120(元) 原來校門口這些店家，很多都沒依法給薪，但長期下來已經有學生忍無可忍，這兩天在網路上串聯，收集不合法店家的資訊，其中最低時薪竟然還停留在60、70元，跟基本工資時薪133元相比，只有二分之一。 ==屏東學生勞工陣線召集人 招有倫== 有很多種類 譬如說低薪 或者是 要你打卡下班 但是還有事情做 或者是你明明被排假 卻在排假的 可能上班前15分鐘 被通知你可能要上班 學生在網路上發起抵制，呼籲只找提供合法薪資的店家消費，被點名抵制的店家則不願公開說明，有的否認指控，有的強調會立刻改善，屏東縣政府也已經展開勞動檢查。 ==屏東縣勞工處副處長 謝明章== 像70元的話 就不符合133元這個標準 我們就一定會處罰2萬至30萬 而且有關青少年打工 我們也會加強清查 縣府表示，勞檢會在下週一之前完成，並且公佈違規店家，不過學生勞工陣線認為開罰並不能幫助學生拿回被剋扣的薪資，打算在近期成立學生勞工工會，做為與資方談判的平台。 記者 王介村 陳顯坤 屏東報導
