IGPASC BUDGET HOTLY DISPUTED ON LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE|立院審黨產會預算 藍綠互槓吵翻天

On Dec. 22, the Legislative Yuan Internal Affairs Committee examined the budget for the Ill-Gotten Party Assets Settlement Committee for 2017. The pan-blue and pan-green parties fought throughout the meeting. Kuomintang legislator Huang Chao-shun proposed freezing the committee's budget as she said that committee members were all Democratic Progressive Party workers. DPP lawmakers said the KMT was a crooked party. Chairman Wellington Koo went to the Legislative Yuan to review the 2017 budget of NT$55 million for the Ill-Gotten Party Assets Settlement Committee, and hold a discussion with legislators. ==WELLINGTON KOO, Chair, Ill-Goten Party Assets Cmmte.== Our annual budget is a paltry NT$55 million. Even the head of the now streamlined Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council gets NT$70 million. We work around the clock every day to fulfill our responsibilities, and I urge you to give us a hand here. However, pan-blue and pan-green legislators began to quarrel. Carefully examining the budget, Kuomintang legislator Huang Chao-shun remarked that the committee personnel were almost all DPP party workers, and read out a list of their names.
