HIGH SCHOOLS EXPAND EXAM-FREE ENTRANCE TO LOCAL STUDENTS|金山.雙溪高中 試辦學習區完全免試

New Taipei City continues to expand the priority exemption entrance examinations. It has approved over 2700 slots for next year, an increase of over 18 percent comparing to this year. The Jinshan and Shuangxi High Schools, for the first time, will conduct a "study zone" , students will be completely exempted from the entrance exams, and the performance records will not be part of the consideration for admission. Students in the neighboring counties just have to apply to go to these high schools. The Ministry of Education has implemented a pilot scheme on exempting entry by exam completely for the 2017 school year in 20 high schools nationwide. Jinshan and Shuangxi High Schools are two of those in the scheme. For Shuangxi High School, students from three nearby middle schools Shuangxi, Pingxi and Gongliao can enroll just by applying. ==PENG SHENG-ZUO Shuangxi Senior High School Principal == Like elementary school students move up to middle school without an exam, we appeal for that sort of attitude to the compulsory 12 years education so that local students can enjoy that type of care.
