ARTIST HOPES TO GIVE FEELING OF FREEDOM BY PUBLIC SCULPTURES|公共藝術創作者賴純純 作品遍及全台

There are many large-scale public works of art on display at the station and airport spaces, creating a sense of space, enhancing the quality of life. Some people may not appreciate that this is created by space, shade and the environment giving a dialogue of artwork, which is hard. However, female artist Lai Chun-chun, who has made the public sculpture for over 20 years hopes to provide people with a feeling of freedom. The artist, Lai Chun-chun has been engaged in public art for 20 years. Her work can be seen all over Taiwan, including at airports, and outdoor spaces, giving people new visual impact. The Kong Zhong Zhi He at this station is a homage to Taipei residents' sense of space. ==LAI CHUN-CHUN artist== The earliest form of transport here was the river, so I made a river in the air. Public art should broaden the mind. Lai Chun-chun chose to create a long-term natural environment in Dulan Mountain in Taitung County, so that her works can be seen in a wider variety of space and color. Most importantly, she wanted to convey a feeling of freedom. ==LAI CHUN-CHUN artist== Freedom is an important theme in my art and it is closely connected to changes in the environment, especially colors and light. It constantly produces changes in the environment around you. This is a piece of work at the ventilation shaft of an MRT station. Through Lai's ingenious creation it is like a bubble, and has different colors and shapes in the day and night, which look like flowing air. Lai says that she hopes to show freedom for people in public spaces rather than a restricted urban life. TRANSLATED BY：CLARE LEAR 從事20年公共藝術創作的藝術家賴純純，她的作品已經遍及全台各地的車站、機場和戶外展場，帶給人們視覺上的空間之美。像這件台北捷運南港覽展館站裡的「空中之河」，就是運用美感串起台北人的時空記憶。 ==藝術家 賴純純== 早期的交通是一條河 所以我以空中之河來比喻 由於公共藝術創作，創作者的心靈也要更寬廣。賴純純選擇長期在台東縣都蘭山下的大自然環境進行創作，讓她的作品呈現出更多樣化的空間和色彩變化，但最重要的是，她想要傳達人們追求自由的感受。 ==藝術家 賴純純== 其實自由在我的作品裡面 是一個很重要的 也就是說它是跟環境變化 特別是色光 它跟你的環境一直在產生變化 這件是位在捷運車站通風井的作品，透過賴純純的巧妙創作，變成像是一顆氣泡，而且白天和晚上各有不同的顏色和形狀，看起來就像是會流動的空氣。賴純純說，她希望透過公共藝術創作，為忙祿生活的人們從被制約的生活中找到心靈的自由。 記者 章明哲 台東報導
