The famous athletic shoe supplier Feng Tay Group was found dumping over ten thousand tons of industrail wastes along the Huwei creek line two years ago. Even though the company said that they have already completed the cleanup last year, more industrial wastes were found along the bank after being washed off by the continuous rain. Yunlin County's Environmental Protection Bureau asked Feng Tay to continue to inspect all possible dumping areas and clean up all the buried wastes. A large amount of industrial waste was dumped along the Huwei Creek line in Yunlin County. You can see plastic insoles, artificial leathers, foam and plastic. It was been reported two years ago and Feng Tay Group submitted a cleanup plan for four areas, a total of over 17,000 tons of industrial waste. We also will expand our inspection on areas and see if any other places have industrial wastes buried. We want to prevent the same thing from happening again. The Feng Tay Group two years ago spent NT$160 million for the cleanup. The Group said it's impossible for them to bury industrial wastes after the cleanup. If more wastes are found, the company will take up the responsibility and clean up again.
