120 TAIWANESE ARRESTED IN GREECE FOR FRAUD|希臘破獲詐騙集團 120多名台人遭逮

MOFA has set up a group handling this matter. If those suspects were to deported, MOFA will make efforts on extradition. Many Taiwanese are committing frauds worldwide. In April, police in Kenya arrested 45 Taiwanese suspects committing frauds and were extradited by China. Also there were Taiwanese committed frauds in Malaysia, some other Southeast Asia countries, Japan and Turkey. Ever since Taiwan and China signed "Cross-strait Joint Fight Against Crime and Mutual Legal Assistance Agreement," Taiwan has extradited over six thousand suspects abroad. Although many arrests were made, but scam groups continue to commit crimes worldwide, create problems to Taiwan government.
