The number of police and firefighter cases keeps rising. In Taichung, 55 firefighters including the deputy of the fire department had to be tested after attending a meeting with an infected civil servant.
Forty senior police officials have tested negative after attending the same meeting as an infected Criminal Investigation Bureau official on the 13th. The bureau was disinfected on the 14th. Kaohsiung's Dingjin Police Station, meanwhile, closed down with a counter outside the station after two officers tested positive.
Pan Chao-ying, Specialist, Kaohsiung City Department of Health: “We can probably confirm that they were infected while on duty, likely in some places where there were overlapping footprints.”
Over in Zuoyin, over 400 people that had been in contact with an infected police officer were tested. Four other officers have tested positive so far. As of the 14th, Kaohsiung has three infected officers at two stations.
Chen Chi-mai, Kaohsiung City Mayor: “Perhaps one of the infected (officers) came into contact with (someone) at the station in Zuoyin.”
Over in Yilan, two police officers and one firefighter have tested positive and places they recently visited are being disinfected.
Lin Hsin-huang, Yilan County Police Commissioner: “(The infected police officer) probably (got infected) while attending the wedding banquet of the daughter of a retired coworker in Luodong on April 9. ”
In Taoyuan, a firefighter who lives in Lujhu has tested positive. His infection source is being investigated. An infected township office worker in Taichung attended a meeting with 36 other people on the 12th including many people from the fire department. Fifty-five people have been given PCR tests and Taichung City Hall workers will be working from home starting next week.
一名刑事局警政監14號下午身體不適，進行COVID-19快篩呈現陽性，已立即至醫療院所進行PCR檢測。由於這名警官13號上午曾參加刑事局周報會議，40位警政高層緊急快篩，全部呈現陰性，刑事局也在14號晚間進行清消。高雄三民區鼎金派出所關起大門，拉到戶外設機動派出所，受理報案，因為裡頭2名員警確診，被列在高雄14號公布的確診病例當中。
高雄市衛生局簡任技正潘炤穎表示：「大概可以確定他們的感染來源，應該是來自於在整個值勤當中，特別是有關於在風險足跡重疊的這些地方。」
左營分局1名女警疑似快篩陽性，擴大採檢400多人，目前已經有4名員警快篩陽性反應。截至14號，高雄至少2個警察分局、3名員警染疫。
高雄市長陳其邁說：「可能有一位這個確診的個案，他的工作的足跡有跟左營分局相關。」
在宜蘭確診病例中，也增加2名員警，還有1名消防局內勤人員，衛生單位前往足跡地擴大清消。
宜蘭縣警局長林新晃指出：「（確診員警)應該都是在4月9日，在羅東參加一個退休同仁，嫁女兒的一個婚宴上。」
桃園市消防局也有1位家住新竹的蘆竹分隊隊員確診，不過他這幾週都沒載過確診者，感染源還得釐清，台中有公所的內勤公務員染疫，他曾在12號參加一場有36個人出席的會議，會中有多名消防隊員出席，市府匡列55人PCR，因為全台疫情嚴峻，台中市決定，下週一起分流辦公。
