With the epidemic seeing a resurge in Taipei and New Taipei City. Health officials have announced new footprints of confirmed cases, including Shihlin and Beitou. Nangang Vocational High School, meanwhile, will switch to online classes for 10 days after a number of students tested positive.
Nangang Vocational High School has suspended classes from April 2-11 after three students -- two from Keelung and one from New Taipei City -- tested positive. The Central Epidemic Command Center requires schools to close if two or more students test positive.

After six people that attended an event at Sogo's Zhongxiao store tested positive, the city sent out 70,000 cell broadcast messages, and over 120 store workers were ordered to quarantine at home. On the 4th, the Taipei City Department of Health released a slew of footprint information, including multiple locations in Shilin and Beitou, Ambassador Theatres, various MRT stations between Dazhi and Liuzhangli, a Yiping chicken hot pot restaurant, and a noodle eatery. The city says anyone with symptoms should get tested as soon as possible.
New Taipei City reported 71 domestic cases on the 3rd, the most among any municipality. Eight schools have suspended classes. Mayor Hou Yu-ih attended a briefing at the Sanxia District Office on the morning of the 4th.
Hou Yu-ih, New Taipei City Mayor: “The number of cases in Sanxia has been very high in the last few days, but they've come down yesterday and today. We are doing everything we can to contain the infections and keep them from spreading to other areas.”
Asked about Premier Su Tseng-chang's "Taiwan model," Hou expressed confusion like everyone else and called on the government to clearly state whether it is pursuing zero-COVID or coexistence. Hou also said the central government's ambiguity puts local governments in a very difficult place and possibly in each other's way.

不只學校,SOGO忠孝館的日本特展群聚,累計已有6人確診,匡列超過120名展場工作人員居家隔離,更發出7萬封細胞簡訊提醒民眾。台北市衛生局4日上午一口氣公布超過10張的確診者足跡,除了士林北投一帶,更有國賓影城、捷運大直到六張犁站,更頻繁出入一品花雕雞及麵線傳奇餐廳,提醒有出現症狀的民眾應盡速篩檢。
而新北市3日新增71例本土,是縣市之冠,也延燒到校園,已有8校停課,市長侯友宜一早到三峽區公所視察平寧計劃,希望防堵疫情擴散。
新北市長侯友宜表示:「目前我們看起來三峽這幾天,數字確實很高,不過在昨天包括今天看起來疫情的數字,是有下降的趨勢,希望不要讓外溢擴展到其他各區,所以我們會全力以赴。」
近來行政院長蘇貞昌拋出新台灣模式,侯友宜表示,到底中央是要清零,還是要共存?希望能夠明確說清楚,不然民眾聽不懂,地方政府也難以執行,才不會有各縣市互相牴觸的狀況。
