The People First Party has proposed to hold at least another debate session among all three presidential candidates before the election. Prior to the election, James Soong will hold campaign rallies in both Taipei and Kaohsiung with the support of Foxconn CEO Terry Gou in hopes to solicit votes from undecided voters.
The presidential election is in its final countdown stage, the People First Party (PFP) has proposed to hold at least another debate session among all three presidential candidates before the election. The party plans to invite the candidates from both the ruling DPP and opposition KMT in hopes to allow everyone to clearly state their policies instead of attacking one another.
There was only one televised presidential debate this year, which was too few. In we didn't hear a lot about policies. That's why we have thought about inviting both candidates from DPP and KMT (for another debate). But now we've realized that, the candidates' schedules are the problem, the television stations have all been gearing up for live broadcast of the election.
In order to gain more support, the PFP will hold two rallies in Taipei and Kaohsiung on Jan. 3 and Jan. 10 respectively where James Soong will once again join hands with former Foxconn CEO Terry Gou to solicit votes from undecided voters.
Like Shih Ming-teh said yesterday, those who are undecided need to remember that they are not members of the DPP or KMT, why do they have to be pan green or pan blue? You're not their party members, you're voters, right? So you need to vote for a leader that could actually lead this country to move forward.
The PFP have focused their attention on voters who haven't decided to vote for either the KMT or DPP. It has also stressed about its policies on helping disadvantaged groups, the electronics industry, workers and farmers. The presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the PFP will travel from southern Taiwan to Taipei, in northern Taiwan, to canvass the streets. The route also symbolizes their goal to gather all the votes together at the Presidential Office.
