Chunyun, or "Spring migration" in China, is the largest human event on the planet. In 2017 -- the Year of the Rooster -- Chinese authorities expect holidaymakers to make 3 billion trips by land over the 40-day period, which starts in January. Some stations including the Beijing Railway Station have employed the facial recognition technology to increase the efficiency. On January 13, many tourists arrived at the Beijing Railway Station to catch the train back to their hometown early in the morning.
