WEIGUAN JINLONG DEFENDENTS SENTENCED TO JUST 5 YEARS|維冠樓塌115死 建商等5人一審均判5年

The Weiguan Jinlong apartment complex in Tainan City collapsed during the earthquake on Feb 6th and resulted in 115 deaths. Five people, including the developer Lin Min-hui and the signatory architect, were indicted for negligent homicide while performing occupational activities. The judge ruled that the developer Lin Ming-hui and five others are responsible for the structural flaws in the building design and construction that caused the building to topple in the earthquake and sentenced them to the maximum term.
