A memorial over the death of a young black man has turned into a riot in east London. Clashes broke out as authorities are investigating an incident about 20-year-old Rashan Charles, who was chased and then wrestled to the ground by police last week. He became ill after trying to swallow something and died an hour later. Protestors took it to the street, holding "black live matter" placard. The protest turned violent as protestors hurled bottles and other objects, and set rubbish bins on fire while others blocked part of a road, preventing cyclists and drivers from passing. Local businesses were damaged and police were called in to help clear the area. Following a night of violence, the parents of the victim has appealed for calm, saying they would pursue justice for their son. TRANSLATED BY:ETHAN LIU
