Are China and US friends now? US President Donald Trump tells Chinese delegates during a bilateral event that the US is willing to take part in the Belt and Road initiative. China sent officials to the US right after Japan voiced its support for the initiative. Analysts said the actual result of the southbound policy is largely attributable to the cultivation of Taiwanese businessmen in the past.
