NORTH KOREA LAUNCHES MISSILES TOWARDS JAPAN|北韓再試射飛彈 日韓同譴.急開國安會議

In the early morning of March 6th, tensions in North East Asia once again escalated as North Korea launched 4 missiles eastward, with three of them landing within Japan's exclusive economic zone. The blant disregard of international order provoked strong protests from both Japan and South Korea. In both countries, emergency national security meetings were called. North Korea launched four ballistic missiles at 6:36am of March 6, Taiwan time. The missiles were fired from the Tongchang-ri region and flew about 1,000 kilometers with highest altitude of 260 kilometers. One missile dropped in Japan Sea, west of Oga Peninsula, Akita-ken. Other three landed in Japan's exclusive economic sea zone. ==RHO JAE-CHEON Chief, SK Public Affairs in Joint Chief of Staff== South Korea and the Unites States are analyzing this now. The possibility is low (that these are intercontinental ballistic missiles), but we need an in-depth analysis." South Korea's Yonhap News Agency quoted from an anonymous military source saying that North Korea may fired intercontinental KN-08 or KN-14 missiles which can reach the U.S. soil. Some experts said, the missiles may be the same kind fired 22 days ago such as medium long range ballistic missiles UGM-27 Polaris or Nodong. South Korea and the U.S. last week began annual joint military drills. North Korea called the drills provocative for war. North Korean state media reported, leader Kim Jong-un ordered military to retaliate emotionlessly for enemies' sudden air strikes. ==SHINZO ABE Japan Prime Minister== This launch has clearly indicated that North Korea poses a new level of threat. Japanese Prime Minister Abe protested to North Korea while South Korea's Foreign Affairs Ministry issued condemnation. South Korean government announced, reward for North Korea defector will be quadrupled to US$860,000. This is the first time defector reward is being increased for the past 20 years.
