WATER CUT OFF TO 170,000 CENTRAL TAIWAN HOUSEHOLDS|挖破管線 台中.北彰化17萬戶停水

On Feb 20, one of the main water pipelines in Taichung was damaged during excavation, causing at least 170,000 households in Taichung and northern Changhua to have water outages. TRANSLATED BY：ANTHONY LIN 台中市水利局昨天下午三點多，在精武東路及三賢街口，進行下水道工程時挖破自來水管線，造成台中、北彰化 17萬戶大停水。自來水公司上午開挖搶修管線，晚間六點左右已經恢復部分供水，預計最快今晚深夜可以全面恢復供水。 自來水公司的工人，正在搶修供水幹管，必需先把水抽乾後，才能焊補破洞。而這也造成了台中和北彰化，總共17萬戶大停水。 20號下午，台中市精武東路和三賢街口，台中市水利局的包商正在進行三米深的下水道工程，由於沒有事先確認自來水幹管位置，挖破了位於三米二的自來水管，由於這是口徑1米5的主要幹管，影響範圍很大。 ==自來水公司四區處副理 林清鑫 == 地下三米的地方 剛好這一帶 有我們的(自來水)大鋼管 水利局部份大概都沒有在探挖 像我們一般來講 我們做主要工程都會探挖 這條大幹管大概就從 管底下(推進器)整個撞破 家裡沒水，阿伯只好騎摩托車到供水處載乾淨的飲用水。 ==民眾== 現在載這兩桶而已 （這現在要喝的)中午煮飯用的 而洗髮店和小吃業者，這兩天的生意，幾乎都不用做了。 ==洗髮店業者== 水只夠兩三人用 不能做 所以我今天只好門關起來 無水了不能做 不然要怎麼辦 自來水公司開挖後發現，幹管底部被挖破，緊急調料修補，漏水量粗估將近一個標準游泳池大小。全面搶修下，晚間六點左右已經恢復部分供水，順利的話，預計最快今晚深夜可以全面恢復供水，但相關的責任歸屬及賠償，也會要求台中市水利局的包商負責。 黃千容 賴世杰 台中
