CAA: TRANSASIA CAN REAPPLY FOR TRAFFIC RIGHTS|復興航權收回 民航局:若願經營可重申請

On Nov. 30, Former Civil Aeronautics Administration director-general Billy Chang pulled out of a potential takeover of TransAsia Airways. The CAA retracted the airline's aviation rights because, in its report, it did not mention plans to resume operations to retain flying rights. However, the CAA said the airline can still resume flights and participate in an aviation rights rearrangement in the future, since its operating license remains effective. On Nov. 30, the Civil Aeronautics Administration retracted TransAsia Airways' aviation rights and is now dealing with required administrative processes. The CAA asked TransAsia Airways to protect the interests of its employees. TransAsia said they will provide employees with an involuntary dismissal certificate. TransAsia Airways' labor union said the company should give them extra compensation because employees were not informed of its abrupt dissolution. The union said they will ask the Taipei City government's Department of Labor to help negotiate with the airline to ensure that all employees get the best deal possible.
