CIPAS DECIDES KMT INVESTMENT COMPANIES ARE ILLICIT ASSETS|被視為不當黨產 中投.欣裕台將收歸國有

On Nov 25, the Committee of Illegal Party Asset Settlement convened an extraordinary meeting and determined that the Central Investment Holding Co. and Hsinyutai Co. which are owned by the KMT, are illicit party assets and should be transferred to the government within 30 days after the KMT received the order. CIPAS chairman Wellington Koo said this decision marks Taiwan's transition from authoritarian rule to democracy. KMT chair, Hung Hsiu-chu, who just returned from a visit to the Philippines, said the party will appeal the case. In an ad hoc meeting, the Committee of Illegal Party Asset Settlement, CIPAS, decided that all shares of the KMT-owned Central Investment Holding Co. and Hsinyutai Co. have to be transferred to the government. ==WELLINGTON KOO, CIPAS chairman== The CIPAS has decided that the KMT has to transfer all Central Investment Holding Co. and Hsinyutai Co. shares to the government within 30 days of receiving the order. These shares belong to the ROC. According to the CIPAS, the KMT owns all shares of Central Investment Holding Co. and Hsinyutai Co., with their total assets amounting to over NT1.56 billion, including over 1400 properties. The KMT headquarter building is also among them and will have to be turned over to the state as well.
