TRANSASIA WORKERS' UNION PROTEST AT MINISTRY OF LABOR|勞資協商破局 復興工會到勞動部抗議

After TransAsia Airways' labor-capital meeting broke out yesterday, around 150 members of TransAsia Airways Workers' Union staged a protest in front of the Ministry of Labor. Meanwhile, TransAsia Airways was found to have a check amounting to $114 million NT Dollars had bounced. The union members worried that this would lead to a chain effect which might compromise the severance payment. Yesterday, the company reopened the labor-capital meeting at 4 pm, hoping to reach a consensus with labor representatives. After the labor-capital meeting where members of the Workers' Union were picked on and not allowed to make recordings, labor representatives returned to the negotiation meeting on the afternoon of November 24th.
