Trump's unexpected victory on Tuesday has indeed sent shock waves through the world. In the United States, protests and demonstrations against Trump's presidency have erupted across the country. In more than nine cities, crowds flooded into the streets in protest of Trump's election, effectively paralyzing city centers and highway traffic. Scuffles with Trump supporters and the police have been reported.

Fight back. Fight back. Fight back.
Holding protest signs, protesters in Chicago gathered in streets to voice their opposition to the Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election. In New York, anti-Trump protesters rallied outside the Trump Tower. They called Trump a racist and compared him to KKK and Adolf Hitler. They also scuffled with the police.

Donald Trump - go away. Racist, sexist, anti-gay. Donald Trump - go away. Racist, sexist, anti-gay.
There were a candlelight vigil and protest outside the White House against Trump. Anti-Trump protests swept across the United States. Thousands of people from at least 9 other cities in central and western United States joined the march against the president-elect. In Pennsylvania, high school and college students staged campus demonstrations and walkouts from classes. In Oregon, protesters blocked traffic in downtown Portland, causing a delay on two light-rail lines.
In Oakland, California, protesters even burned a giant orange-haired head of Trump in effigy and lit fires in the streets. They also broke store windows and set garbage alight. At least one person was seriously injured. In Los Angeles, the traffic was brought to a standstill as protesters blocked a major highway.

Not my president. Not my president.
Outside the United States, several hundred protesters gathered outside the US embassy in London to show their opposition to Trump's election. They almost got into a fight with Trump supporters from the far-right groups.
